This is Robert James Schultz’s personal site. Its centerpiece is an AI that answers questions about his work. Here’s exactly what it collects and why.
What’s collected
- Conversations.Messages you send to the AI are stored so the site can improve and so Robert can review how it’s answering. They’re keyed to a random, anonymous visitor id — not your name or account.
- Intro / contact form.If you submit the “request intro” or contact form, the name, email, and message you provide are emailed to Robert and used only to respond.
- Usage analytics. Anonymous, aggregate analytics (page views, feature events) — no advertising trackers, and your data is never sold.
- Voice (optional). If you turn on voice, the text you choose to hear is sent to a text-to-speech provider to generate audio.
Who processes it
The site uses a small set of vendors as data processors: Anthropic (the AI model), Resend (transactional email), ElevenLabs (optional voice), PostHog (analytics), and Vercel + Neon (hosting + database). Each only receives what it needs to do its job.
Cookies
A single functional cookie holds the anonymous visitor id so a conversation can continue across page loads. Analytics may set its own cookies. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Retention & your choices
Conversations are kept to improve the site. You can avoid storing anything personal by simply not typing it. To request deletion of your conversations or contact details, email robertjschultz@gmail.com and it’ll be handled promptly.
